We are currently seeking an Risk Analytics Tech Engineer to joinour Application Development – AnalyticalQA team in Beijing, China.
TEAMOVERVIEW:
The Analytical QA team is acompany-wide shared resource responsible for communicating with the ProductManagement, Research, and Development teams to develop and implement testingprocesses and procedures for industry adopted financial instruments,statistics, stress tests and reporting. Our goal is to ensure the 'highestlevel quality' and the 'fastest time to market' in our industry for ourfinancial products. The members of the Analytical QA team work on complexissues, where analysis is required to determine the root source of problems andassociated factors.
POSITIONOVERVIEW:
As a key member of this team, thecandidate will have direct responsibility for ensuring that MSCI market-leadinganalytics applications continue to provide clients exceptional analyticsquality and sophistication. The candidate will have opportunity to work oninnovative financial applications utilizing the latest technologies and will beresponsible for understanding client needs and for ensuring that productspecifications, functionality and underlying analytics fulfill client needs. Itis a must that the candidate is detail-oriented and capable to multi-task in atimely and independent fashion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developtools that streamline and automate the current processes used for managing,supporting, and deploying our applications. l
Workclosely with Development and Application Management teams to test newcomponents, configurations, and processes. l
Developtools/scripts for testing environment configuration changes. l
Updateand maintain internal tools. l
Createand maintain appropriate documentation on all processes and procedures. l
Analyzeand extend our analytics regression tests to ensure complete and efficientcoverage. l
Workwith the Analytics Development team to evaluate manual and regression testdifferences, check requirements, and extend test case coverage. l
Ensure that all daily test processesare completed successfully and resolve problems with the assistance of theResearch and Development teams.
DESIREDEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
l
Masterdegree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or other similar concentration ORquantitative BS/BA plus five years relevant experience. l
3+years experience in software development/systems administration or othersimilar technical field. l
Perl/Java/C++/C#and/or Windows/Unix Scripting l
Databaseexperience – Oracle/MSSQL skills l
Goodworking knowledge of Unix & Windows Administration l
Excellentproblem-solving/troubleshooting skills, fast learner l
Detailoriented and logical thought process l
Abilityto self-manage your own projects l
Excellenttechnical communication skills l
Experiencewith SDLC: source code control, release/dependency management a strong plus l
Apache/Tomcat/WebServices experience a plus l
Interestin Finance desirable l
Formal QA-process training a plus
